- RACER Technology – Maximizes throughput by printing color only when and where it is needed. This unique XES innovation, in conjunction with the DFE, looks for color information in the data stream. If no color data is detected, the X2-TECH utilizes all 3 black print heads to produce output up to 2.9 Ds per minute; 900 square feet/hr). When color data is present, the printer automatically switches to full color mode for the section of the drawing with color and automatically returns to the fast black mode when color printing is completed.
- PixelCorrect Technology – Virtually eliminates image “banding,” common to many color inkjet printers, especially during high-speed printing. PixelCorrect is a revolutionary technology, exclusive Xerox Engineering Systems, that automatically calibrates each X2-TECH printer to optimize the “image algorithms” for the print head. Additionally, a built-in profile system recognized by RIP software further reduces banding.
- Efficient Job Management Capabilities -- At up to 2.9 D size prints per minute (900 square ft/hr in monochrome black) and 1.3 Ds per minute (400 square feet/hr) in full color, the X2-TECH simplifies workflow and job management. No longer does the user have to separate and direct print jobs to two different printers, a high speed monochrome and a full color printer. Additionally, two digital front-end (DFE) options offer spool management capabilities, as well as support for a broad range of print formats, including: HPGL, HPGL-2, TIFF, JPEG, PostScript level 3, PDF and CGM.
- Four-Color Printing – CMY + 3K produce smooth tonal transitions and reproducible colors within the standard web offset printing (SWOP) color gamut.
- Diverse Online Media Rolls – A full line of papers and films are approved and available for use. Multiple online media rolls means users can change media with a simple push of a button or click of a mouse from a computer workstation.
